Welcome to Prosper Place!
Exciting Days of Growth Ahead!
March 2022, Prosper Place Update
More than four years ago, Prosper Place and its Board of Directors created a new vision. This vision included growth, and the blending of three different mental health recovery models. We continued with the foundation of purposeful work, belonging and inclusion. Then we moved into new territory of co-developing and co-facilitating recovery college courses – to date we now host eight different courses!! And finally, we mixed in strength-based peer leadership and peer mentoring.
TOGETHER, Prosper Place has evolved into an organization that is leading the way for mental health peer support and leadership!
Now, Prosper Place will take all this great work and begin a new chapter. Peer members, staff, Peer Board of Directors, and the governance Board of Directors have unanimously agreed to integrate with Canadian Mental Health Association – Edmonton Region (CMHA-ER). It is an exciting time of growth, program enhancement, and opportunity!
The full integration will be effective April 1, 2022.
The future for mental health in Alberta is BRIGHT and you can help to build and enhance the future for Prosper Place and CMHA-ER. Get involved and be part of the new opportunities!
A Safe, Inclusive Community For Everyone
Prosper Place is a safe, inclusive community of vibrant peer culture and peer excellence where people living with the effects of mental illness feel valued and encouraged to explore their self-directed paths of recovery.
From the moment you walk through our doors you will feel the welcoming atmosphere. We offer so many opportunities to learn and grow at your own pace. Workshops, educational classes, cooking and baking, participating on an organizational team, working in the office, games and great conversation are just a few things you will find here at Prosper Place.
Give us a call or book a tour – we’d love to meet you!
