Prosper Place supports members who want an opportunity to have paid employment in the community. The following are types of employment programs which are available to help achieve this goal.
Supported Employment (SE)
SE is ideal for those members who already a career in mind. The Employment Coordinator can offer help in finding the job and accompany the member to the interview and on the job training if requested. Help for finding work includes:
- Resume Writing
- Interviewing Skills
- Career Exploration
- Job Leads and Development
Prosper Place provides support and resources for any other needs the members may experience during the job search. All services are free to members. This includes photocopying, computer use, faxing and local phone use.
Group Employment (GE)
Group employment provides another opportunity for members to ease back into the work force. A GE takes place at a work site outside of Prosper Place and involves several members and staff all working together at the same time.
